Seller resource

Plan jewelry photos around the details buyers inspect.

Start with the jewelry's shape, setting, closure, and confirmed measurements. Plan a clear recognition view and the details a buyer needs to inspect, then write only what the references and seller-confirmed facts support.

Planning is available, but paid Studio image production is not generally available yet.

What does the buyer need to inspect?

A distant view can show a piece's outline while hiding how it closes or how a stone is held. Identify the buyer's unanswered question before choosing another composition: the setting, the attachment, the reverse, or the actual size.

  • Prepare a clear front view and relevant side or back views of the actual piece.
  • Add a close reference for the clasp, setting, engraving, or other distinguishing detail.
  • Confirm dimensions and provide a measured reference before using a scale cue. A styled scene is not a measurement.

Necklaces: separate the chain from the pendant.

Show how the chain links connect to the pendant, how the clasp works, and which parts are included. A pendant close-up cannot prove chain length or the reverse design. Confirm length separately and add a reverse reference if that view matters to the offer.

Watches: give the dial, case, and strap their own evidence.

Use readable references for dial markings and hands, the case profile, and the strap or bracelet fastening. Reflections can conceal these details. A case-back photo may show an inscription, but it does not by itself verify the mechanism or water resistance.

Choose recognition, detail, and supported scale roles.

Plan one view that makes the whole piece recognizable and close views for the details that change a purchase decision. On-model presentation needs adequate references and the rights or permissions to use any person reference; it must not invent a length or fit claim.

Reject small changes that describe a different piece.

Compare the stone count and placement, chain links, clasp, engraving, and dial markings with the Source. Reject a beautiful draft if it changes any of them. Do not invent an unseen back. Carry the accepted visible details into an editable listing draft, then check the exact item and included parts before manual use.

Keep specifications out until they are confirmed.

Metal purity, gemstone type, hypoallergenic properties, water resistance, and movement specifications cannot be inferred from appearance. Leave them out of listing copy until supported by confirmed product information. A gold-colored surface is not evidence of solid gold.
